Jambo! Your Zanzibar adventure begins as you arrive on this tropical paradise in East Africa. With idyllic white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, and vibrant island culture, Zanzibar is a bucket-list destination where African, Arab, and European influences converge in a tapestry of color, history, and flavor.
Upon arrival at Zanzibar Airport, you’ll be greeted and transferred to your beachfront hotel in Paje, one of the island’s most stunning coastlines. Spend the afternoon unwinding on the beach, swimming in the turquoise waters, or exploring the nearby village, where markets, colorful homes, and aromatic spice stalls bring local life to vivid reality.
As the day winds down, enjoy a welcome dinner by the beach, tropical flavors and ocean breeze setting the tone for your Zanzibar adventure. With turquoise waters, soft sand, and sunsets like nowhere else, the island promises moments you’ll remember forever. This is Zanzibar at its best—and it’s all waiting for you.
Wake up to Paje’s sparkling lagoon, where turquoise waters stretch as far as the eye can see. Your morning is yours to choose: catch the wind on a kitesurfing lesson, skimming across the calm waters, or snorkel at nearby sandbanks, discovering colorful coral reefs and tropical fish just below the surface.
In the afternoon, step off the beaten path and visit a local village, where the rhythms of daily life unfold in bustling markets, vibrant homes, and aromatic spice gardens. Watch artisans at work, try your hand at a traditional craft, or simply soak up the lively energy of authentic Zanzibar culture.
Return to Paje’s beach as the sun begins to dip, letting the warm glow of sunset wash over the lagoon. Reflect on a day of sun, sea, and island adventure, and get ready for tomorrow’s wild encounters—the dolphins of Kizimkazi and a magical sunset dhow cruise.
Rise early and head to Kizimkazi, where the Indian Ocean comes alive with playful wild dolphins. Slip into the warm, clear waters and swim alongside these graceful creatures, an experience that few travelers ever get to claim. Feel the rush of the ocean, the dolphins weaving through the waves, and the sheer magic of being in the wild.
After your morning adventure, return to Paje for some well-earned beach time—lounge under the palms, sip a fresh coconut, or stroll along the lagoon’s edge.
As the day melts into evening, step aboard a traditional dhow for a sunset cruise along Zanzibar’s coastline. The sky transforms into a canvas of gold, pink, and violet while you sip tropical drinks, snap unforgettable photos, and let the rhythm of the waves carry you into the night. By the time you return to shore, you’ll know exactly why Zanzibar is a destination like no other.
Start the day venturing into Jozani Forest, Zanzibar’s lush jungle sanctuary. Walk among towering mangroves and spot the rare Red Colobus monkeys leaping through the canopy, a sight you’ll remember long after you leave. Hear the rustle of leaves, the calls of exotic birds, and feel the vibrant pulse of the island’s wild heart.
Next, head to a Zanzibar spice farm, where the island’s famous flavors come alive. Smell and taste fresh cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and vanilla, and discover how these aromatic treasures shape local cuisine and culture. You might even try your hand at a mini cooking demo, learning the secrets behind traditional Zanzibari dishes.
As the afternoon wanes, transfer to historic Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage maze of narrow alleys, carved doors, and bustling markets. Check into your boutique hotel and wander the streets at your own pace, soaking in the rich history, vibrant energy, and colorful charm of this iconic island town.
Wake up in historic Stone Town, a labyrinth of narrow streets, spice-scented markets, and ornate doors that tell stories of centuries past. Your morning is a guided walking tour through the town’s most iconic spots—from the bustling bazaars to the House of Wonders—immersing you in Zanzibar’s layered history and vibrant culture.
Midday, take a short boat ride to Prison Island, home to giant Aldabra tortoises and crystal-clear snorkeling spots. Walk among these gentle giants, snorkel in the surrounding coral reefs, or simply lounge on the sun-drenched beaches, soaking up the island’s serene beauty.
Return to Stone Town for a leisurely afternoon of shopping, café-hopping, or wandering, capturing the perfect photos as the streets glow in late afternoon light. Tonight, savor one last dinner on the island, reminiscing about the adventure so far and feeling the magic of Zanzibar linger in the air.
Spend your final morning soaking in Stone Town’s vibrant streets or enjoying a peaceful moment by the ocean. Sip a last cup of Zanzibar coffee, snap a few photos, and let the island’s colors, scents, and sounds settle in your memory.
When it’s time, a private transfer will take you to Zanzibar Airport. All visitors to Zanzibar must purchase the mandatory Zanzibar travel insurance issued by the Zanzibar Insurance Corporation, even if you already have international coverage. The cost is currently $44 USD per adult (please check the official website for the most up-to-date price). This policy is valid for up to 92 days and includes coverage for medical emergencies, evacuation, baggage issues, and other incidents. You can purchase it online in advance at visitzanzibar.go.tz or upon arrival, though we recommend arranging it beforehand to avoid delays at the airport.
In addition to this mandatory policy, we strongly advise all travelers to purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, personal injury, medical and repatriation expenses, evacuation, personal liability, and loss of personal belongings. We can recommend insurance providers based on your country of residence to ensure you are fully protected. Make sure your plan also covers any activities you’ll be joining—especially adventure or high-risk ones—for those planning extra adrenaline-filled experiences!
For the safaris, wear neutral-colored, lightweight, and breathable clothing to stay cool and blend in with the environment. Long sleeves and pants are recommended for sun protection and to reduce insect bites. Bring comfortable shoes or boots for game drives.
For Zanzibar, pack light, breathable clothes, swimwear for the beach, and modest attire for visiting local towns.

We kindly ask all guests to be respectful toward guides, trip leaders, hotel staff, local communities, and fellow travelers. This means being mindful of cultural norms, keeping group harmony in mind, and treating everyone with courtesy. A positive, supportive attitude helps create the best possible experience for the whole group.
We review each booking to ensure the group is well-balanced in terms of travel style, expectations, and energy. If a trip doesn’t feel like the right fit, we may suggest a different departure or respectfully decline a booking.
This approach is what allows our trips to stay personal, flexible, and genuinely enjoyable for everyone involved.
