ITINERARY

Xin chào! Your adventure kicks off in Vietnam’s vibrant capital. We’ll meet at 6 PM at the hotel for a quick trip briefing, followed by a welcome dinner to get to know the group. Arriving early? Chill by Hoan Kiem Lake, wander the French-inspired streets of the Old Quarter, or hunt down your first bánh mì and egg coffee. The energy here is contagious—soak it in.

Today we will explore Hanoi with a morning visit to cultural and historical landmarks, including Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, and Hoan Kiem Lake. In the afternoon, we will have a street food tour wandering the winding streets of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, tasting authentic treats and dishes and enjoy coffee in the famous Hanoi Train Street.

Evening’s free—catch a water puppet show or wander the lantern-lit Old Quarter.

Check out from Hanoi and journey to the legendary Halong Bay. Board your cruise and glide through a seascape of towering limestone cliffs and emerald waters—a UNESCO World Heritage treasure. Spend your day kayaking through hidden caves, swimming in clear lagoons, and watching the sunset paint the sky from the deck. Dinner is served onboard, followed by squid fishing under the stars—a perfect night in this floating paradise.

Wake up early to a magical sunrise over Halong Bay and start your day with a rejuvenating Tai Chi session, followed by a delicious breakfast. Then, enjoy a scenic cycling excursion to Viet Hai Village, a tranquil enclave framed by lush greenery and dramatic limestone karsts. Immerse yourself in authentic village life and the gentle rhythm of the Vietnamese countryside.

After lunch, travel onward to Ninh Binh, often called the “inland Halong Bay” for its towering limestone cliffs and serene rice paddies. Settle in and soak up the slower pace of rural Vietnam, surrounded by some of the country’s most breathtaking natural landscapes.

Spend the day exploring the stunning waterways of Tam Coc, gliding past limestone cliffs and through hidden caves. Then hop on a bike to ride through peaceful villages, emerald rice fields, and centuries-old temples, soaking in the authentic local culture and serene countryside.

Cap the day with a climb up to Mua Cave, where sweeping panoramic views over Ninh Binh’s dramatic landscapes will leave you breathless—a perfect memory and photo moment. Return to your hotel for a relaxed evening and dinner, enjoying the peaceful pace of rural Vietnam.

This is your final full day in Ninh Binh, and it’s yours to discover the region at your own pace. Explore iconic sites like the Bai Dinh Pagoda, wander the serene waterways of Trang An, or step back in time at the ancient Hoa Lu Capital. Every corner of Ninh Binh offers a story waiting to be discovered.

Take time to pause and indulge—sip coffee at a riverside café, enjoy a traditional Vietnamese massage, or simply let the beauty of the countryside sink in. Few travelers ever get to experience rural Vietnam so intimately, making this day truly unforgettable.

In the evening, board the overnight sleeper bus to Phong Nha, the gateway to Vietnam’s spectacular cave region, arriving ready for your next adventure. Don’t miss this chance to capture memories and moments that will stay with you forever.

Arrive in the jungle town of Phong Nha, the gateway to Vietnam’s most spectacular cave systems. After settling in and enjoying breakfast, prepare for a full day of adventure and wonder.

Begin with a walk through lush forest to Paradise Cave, a breathtaking underground world of towering ceilings, glittering stalactites, and surreal rock formations. Wander through this natural masterpiece as your guide shares fascinating stories of its formation and history.

After a scenic local lunch, continue with a peaceful boat ride along the Son River to Phong Nha Cave. Glide into the cave’s mouth and discover a magical realm of crystal-like stalactites, hidden chambers, and tranquil underground lakes. This is an experience that feels truly otherworldly, one that will stay with you long after your journey ends.

Return to your hotel in the late afternoon to relax in the jungle town, savoring the calm after a day filled with awe-inspiring natural wonders.

Start the day with a playful taste of rural Vietnam at the famous Duck Stop. Hand-feed ducks, ride a water buffalo, and capture memorable moments that few travelers get to experience.

Continue through the scenic countryside as you journey to Hue, Vietnam’s former imperial capital. Arrive in the afternoon and step back in time at the Imperial Citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site rich with royal history and stunning architecture.

After exploring, enjoy free time to wander the city at your own pace, or elevate your evening with a sunset boat ride along the Perfume River, soaking in golden light reflecting off the water, or indulge in a soothing herbal foot soak to refresh after a day of adventure.

Set off on one of Vietnam’s most scenic drives, winding through lush rice paddies, turquoise bays, and dramatic cliffs along the iconic Hai Van Pass. Stop at hidden viewpoints and Lang Co Beach to capture panoramic ocean and mountain vistas that few travelers ever see.

Arrive in Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage town where history and charm come alive. Explore the ancient streets on a guided tour, discovering vibrant markets, centuries-old houses, and timeless architecture.

As evening falls, wander the lantern-lit streets, savor local delicacies, or enjoy a peaceful riverside stroll—the perfect way to end your first day in Hoi An and soak in its enchanting atmosphere.

Begin your day with a free morning to explore Hoi An at your own pace —rent a bike and ride through the rice paddies, stroll the riverside markets, or relax at a nearby café. In the afternoon, head to Cam Thanh Village for a fun coconut boat ride through the palm-lined waterways. Then, tap into the town’s creative spirit with a lantern-making class where you’ll craft your own colorful souvenir. As evening sets in, the Ancient Town glows with lanterns, creating a magical backdrop for dinner and exploration.

Enjoy a relaxed morning with a last bowl of pho or a Vietnamese coffee. Take a final stroll, shop for souvenirs, or just soak in the city’s vibrant pulse. You’re free to depart your accommodation at any time, as long as you follow check-out time.

The trip starts in Hanoi and finishes in Hoi An.

Hanoi – Noi Bai International Airport  (HAN)

You have two options:

  • Domestic flight from Da Nang to Hanoi: Da Nang International Airport is the closest airport to Hoi An. From here, you can catch a domestic flight back to Hanoi to connect with your international departure.
  • Optional departure from Ho Chi Minh City: If you want to continue your adventure in southern Vietnam—such as exploring Ho Chi Minh City or the Mekong Delta—you can take a domestic flight from Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City instead.

Our tours are designed for adventurous travelers aged 18 to 45, with most guests typically between 21 and 35 years old. However, anyone with a sense of adventure is welcome, as long as they are 18 or older!

We keep groups small — usually no more than 12 travelers — so everyone actually connects and the experience feels personal, not crowded.

We stay in highly rated 3- and 4-star hotels. Rooms are standard and shared with fellow travelers of the same gender, typically 2 or 3 people per room with twin or single beds.

Some rooms may include beds of different sizes (for example, one large bed and one single bed). In these cases, bed assignments are rotated across the trip so that the guest who had the large bed at one hotel will take the single bed if a similar configuration occurs again, ensuring fairness throughout the experience.

If you’re traveling with a friend, partner, or family member and would like to share a room, just let us know — we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

This trip also includes a luxury overnight cruise in Ha Long Bay and a sleeper bus with lie-flat berths.

Private room upgrades are available for an additional fee of $600 if you prefer your own space.

Tipping is not mandatory, but it’s greatly appreciated and customary in many parts of Vietnam. We recommend budgeting around $3–5 USD per day for tips, which can be pooled for local guides, drivers, and staff who help make our journey smooth and enjoyable. Your trip leader will provide guidance throughout the trip on when and how to tip.

We do not handle visa arrangements. However, we’re happy to help you gather information about visa requirements based on your nationality for your chosen destination, ensuring you have a clear understanding of what’s needed.
