Day 1 – Welcome to Zanzibar!

Karibu Sana! Your Zanzibar adventure begins as you arrive on this stunning island paradise. We'll greet you at the airport and transfer you to your beachfront hotel in Paje, where you can settle in and relax.

Spend the afternoon unwinding on the beach, taking a dip in the turquoise waters, or exploring the nearby village.

In the evening, we’ll gather for a welcome dinner — the perfect chance to meet your fellow travelers and get excited for the days ahead.

Day 2 – Paje Adventure

Rise and shine for a morning adventure of your choice: join a 2-hour kitesurfing lesson — perfect for beginners or those looking to brush up their skills — or opt for a snorkeling excursion to explore the vibrant underwater world. Afterward, enjoy some free time to relax on the powdery white sand, swim in the crystal-clear ocean, or wander through the colorful local village of Jambiani.

As the sun sets, gather for dinner, share stories from the day, and let the gentle sea breeze set the tone for a magical evening.

Day 3 – Paje to Nungwi | Beach & Jozani Forest

After a leisurely breakfast, we’ll transfer north to Nungwi, stopping along the way at Jozani Forest to meet the island’s famous red colobus monkeys and walk among the mangroves.

In the afternoon, arrive at your Nungwi hotel, settle in, and enjoy your first sunset on the northern beaches. Spend the evening strolling along the shore or savoring fresh seafood at a local restaurant.

Day 4 – Nungwi Beaches & Snorkeling

Today is all about relaxation and adventure. Start your morning with a swim or sunbathe on the pristine beaches, then opt for a snorkeling excursion at Mnemba Atoll or a traditional dhow cruise to admire the coastline from the water.

Spend the rest of the day at your leisure — relax on the beach, sip cocktails at a beachfront bar, or explore the local village. In the evening, enjoy sunset and dinner, soaking in the vibrant colors of the Zanzibar sky.

Day 5 – Spice Farm and Stone Town

Today, we’ll explore both the flavors and history of Zanzibar. After breakfast, we’ll travel from Nungwi to Stone Town, stopping at a spice farm along the way. Discover why Zanzibar is called the “Spice Island,” learn about aromatic treasures like cloves, nutmeg, and vanilla, and even taste fresh spices straight from the source.

In the afternoon, arrive in Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its winding alleys, bustling markets, and fascinating mix of Arabic, Persian, Indian, and European influences. We’ll take a guided walking tour, visiting landmarks like the Old Fort, the Slave Museum, and passing by the iconic Freddie Mercury House, while uncovering the island’s captivating past.

The evening is at leisure to enjoy dinner, shop, or simply soak in the historic charm of Stone Town.

Day 6 – Departure

After breakfast, enjoy a final stroll through the streets of Stone Town or do some last-minute shopping. Then we’ll transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your departure, taking with you memories of turquoise waters, vibrant culture, and unforgettable island adventures.

WHERE DOES THE TRIP START & FINISH?

WHICH AIRPORT DO I NEED TO FLY INTO AND OUT FROM?

For travelers joining us after the safari, we fly together from Arusha to Zanzibar. The flight is not included in the trip price, but we can book it for you to ensure you travel with the group.

If you’re flying into Zanzibar from another location, you’ll need to arrange your own flights to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ).

DO YOU HAVE AN AGE LIMIT FOR TOURS?

Our tours are designed for adventurous travelers aged 18 to 45, with most guests typically between 21 and 35 years old. However, anyone with a sense of adventure is welcome, as long as they are 18 or older!

WHAT IS THE GROUP SIZE FOR EACH TRIP?

We cap groups at a maximum of 12 travelers.

This keeps the experience personal, flexible, and far from the rushed, crowded feel of typical group tours.

WHAT KIND OF ACCOMMODATION IS INCLUDED ON THIS TRIP?

We stay in highly rated 3- and 4-star hotels. Rooms are standard and shared with fellow travelers of the same gender, typically 2 or 3 people per room with twin or single beds.

Some rooms may include beds of different sizes (for example, one large bed and one single bed). In these cases, bed assignments are rotated across the trip so that the guest who had the large bed at one hotel will take the single bed if a similar configuration occurs again, ensuring fairness throughout the experience.

If you’re traveling with a friend, partner, or family member and would like to share a room, just let us know — we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Private room upgrades are available for an additional fee of $600 if you prefer your own space.

IS THIS TRIP OPEN TO ALL GENDERS?

Yes. Our trips are open to all genders.

Room assignments are based on same-gender sharing. Solo female travelers are paired at no additional cost. Solo male travelers are paired when another male traveler is available; if no pairing is possible, a single-room supplement will apply.

All room arrangements are confirmed prior to final payment.

DO YOU ASSIST WITH VISAS?

We do not handle visa arrangements. However, we’re happy to help you gather information about visa requirements based on your nationality for your chosen destination, ensuring you have a clear understanding of what’s needed.

WHAT IS THE CURRENCY?

The currency in Tanzania is the Tanzanian Shilling, abbreviated as (TZS).

IS MY MONEY PROTECTED?

Yes, your money is safe! If the trip is canceled by us, including due to not meeting the minimum participant requirement by the deadline (typically two months before the trip), you'll receive a full refund.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We understand plans can change. A $300 non-refundable deposit secures your spot. You may cancel within 72 hours of booking, and any payments made beyond the deposit will be fully refunded. The remaining balance is due 90 days before the trip. Cancellations made less than 90 days before departure are non-refundable. For full details, please review our cancellation policy here.

IS TRAVEL INSURANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS TRIP?

All visitors to Zanzibar must purchase the mandatory Zanzibar travel insurance issued by the Zanzibar Insurance Corporation, even if you already have international coverage. The cost is currently $44 USD per adult (please check the official website for the most up-to-date price). This policy is valid for up to 92 days and includes coverage for medical emergencies, evacuation, baggage issues, and other incidents. You can purchase it online in advance at visitzanzibar.go.tz or upon arrival, though we recommend arranging it beforehand to avoid delays at the airport.

In addition to this mandatory policy, we strongly advise all travelers to purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, personal injury, medical and repatriation expenses, evacuation, personal liability, and loss of personal belongings. We can recommend insurance providers based on your country of residence to ensure you are fully protected. Make sure your plan also covers any activities you’ll be joining—especially adventure or high-risk ones—for those planning extra adrenaline-filled experiences!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR AND PACK FOR THE TRIP?

For the safaris, wear neutral-colored, lightweight, and breathable clothing to stay cool and blend in with the environment. Long sleeves and pants are recommended for sun protection and to reduce insect bites. Bring comfortable shoes or boots for game drives.

For Zanzibar, pack light, breathable clothes, swimwear for the beach, and modest attire for visiting local towns.
