I created Gagago as a way to connect solo travelers and make it easier to explore the world together. Through Gagago Trips, I now get to share these amazing experiences with you.

Through my travels, I’ve learned that exploring the world is more than ticking destinations off a list—it’s about creating connections with the people, places, and cultures you encounter along the way.

ITINERARY

Welcome to Egypt! Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you’ll be greeted by our staff and transferred to your hotel, which boasts stunning views of the Great Pyramids. After settling in, take some time to relax on the terrace and soak in the breathtaking sunset views of this iconic wonder. In the evening, meet the group and savor a traditional Egyptian dinner. Get ready for 10 days of epic adventures ahead!

Our first full day in Egypt kicks off with a deep dive into Cairo’s ancient wonders. We’ll start with a visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. You’ll walk in the footsteps of pharaohs, learn about the incredible history and architecture behind these iconic structures, and get up close to the mysterious Sphinx—a timeless symbol of ancient Egypt.

In the afternoon, we’ll head to Saqqara, home to the Step Pyramid of Djoser—the earliest large-scale stone structure in the world. This lesser-known site offers a quieter, more atmospheric look at Egypt’s ancient past, with tombs and ruins that stretch deep into the desert.

In the evening, you’ll have free time to explore Cairo’s vibrant streets. Consider heading to Khan El Khalili Bazaar, one of the city’s most historic markets. Wander through its colorful alleyways, shop for handcrafted souvenirs, and soak in the lively local vibe over tea or fresh juice at a traditional café.

We’ll start the day at the world-famous Egyptian Museum, home to thousands of artifacts from ancient Egypt—including the golden treasures of Tutankhamun, royal mummies, and statues that have survived for millennia. It’s the perfect place to bring the stories of the pharaohs to life before we head south.

Next, we’ll explore Old Cairo, where the city’s diverse history comes together. Stroll through the quiet streets past the Hanging Church, one of the oldest Coptic landmarks, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, with its deep roots in Cairo’s Jewish heritage.

We’ll then make our way to Al-Muizz Street, lined with impressive examples of medieval Islamic architecture, and end at the Saladin Citadel, where we’ll visit the stunning Mohamed Ali Mosque and enjoy sweeping views over Cairo.

In the evening, we’ll fly to Aswan, a laid-back city in the south of Egypt known for its Nubian culture and warm hospitality. You’ll settle into a charming, authentic Nubian hotel in the colorful village—an experience that gives you a true taste of local life right on the banks of the Nile.

Wake up surrounded by the vibrant colors and peaceful charm of a Nubian village, where life flows to the rhythm of the Nile. After breakfast, we’ll spend time exploring the village, meeting locals, learning about their traditions, and experiencing the warm hospitality that makes this community so special.

Next, we’ll visit the beautiful Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis and dramatically set on an island in the middle of the Nile. Reached by a short boat ride, this temple is one of the most picturesque in all of Egypt and holds stories of love, loss, and devotion etched in ancient stone.

In the late afternoon, we’ll wind down with one of the most magical experiences of the trip: a sunset sail on a traditional felucca. Drift along the Nile’s calm waters as the sky turns gold and pink, passing palm-dotted banks and desert hills glowing in the evening light.

We’ll return to the Nubian village for a relaxed evening, enjoying a delicious Egyptian dinner and the warm hospitality of the community.

We start early to embark on a full-day excursion to Abu Simbel, one of Egypt’s most iconic archaeological sites. The journey takes about 3 hours each way, but the stunning views of the desert landscape along the way make it worthwhile.

Upon arrival, you'll be awestruck by the temples of Ramses II and Nefertari, carved into the mountainside. Discover the incredible history behind these magnificent structures, which were relocated to avoid flooding from Lake Nasser, and admire the impressive colossal statues that stand guard at the entrance. Learn about the fascinating story of their construction and the significance of the temple’s alignment with the sun.

After exploring the temples and enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, we’ll head back to Aswan. The rest of the day is yours to relax by the Nile or wander through the vibrant local markets.

This morning, we’ll travel from Aswan to Luxor, stopping first at Kom Ombo Temple, a unique riverside temple dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus. You’ll explore its rare double design and visit the fascinating crocodile mummy museum.

Next, we’ll visit the hidden gem of Esna Temple, tucked beneath the modern city. This remarkably preserved site features vibrant, colorful columns and offers a peaceful, less-crowded glimpse into ancient Egyptian artistry.

After these visits, we’ll continue to Luxor and check in at our luxurious 5-star Nile-front resort, where you can relax and freshen up.

In the evening, you have the option to visit the beautifully illuminated Luxor Temple. This magical experience lets you see the ancient columns glowing under the night sky. The temple was once connected to Karnak by the Avenue of Sphinxes and played a key role in ancient rituals.

This morning, we’ll begin at the magnificent Karnak Temple, the largest religious complex ever built. Wander through its vast courtyards, towering columns, and sacred sanctuaries, and learn about the powerful pharaohs who expanded this incredible site over centuries.

Next, we’ll explore the Valley of the Kings, the ancient royal burial ground where some of Egypt’s most famous pharaohs, including Tutankhamun, were laid to rest. Discover tombs adorned with vivid hieroglyphics and intricate paintings telling stories of the afterlife.

After lunch, we’ll visit the stunning Temple of Hatshepsut, an architectural masterpiece nestled against the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, dedicated to Egypt’s most famous female pharaoh.

We’ll then head to Medinet Habu Temple, the mortuary temple of Ramses III, known for its well-preserved wall reliefs depicting battles, religious rituals, and daily life in ancient Egypt.

In the evening, relax at our luxurious 5-star Nile-front resort, where you can savor a leisurely dinner and enjoy a peaceful stroll along the river as the sun sets over the Nile.

Start the day with an optional hot air balloon ride for breathtaking sunrise views over Luxor, or simply watch the balloons rise from our Nile front resort!

Afterwards, embark on a scenic 4-hour drive to Hurghada on the Red Sea coast, known for its stunning beaches and crystal-clear waters, with beautiful desert landscape views along the way.

Upon arrival, check into our beautiful all-inclusive resort, where you can unwind and take in the stunning views of the Red Sea.

Enjoy the rest of the day free to unwind by the beach, explore the town, and enjoy dinner at our all-inclusive resort.

Embark on a full-day boat trip to snorkel in the crystal-clear waters of the Red Sea. Discover vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine life, including tropical fish and possibly dolphins.

After a day of underwater exploration, return to your beachfront resort to relax.

In the evening, enjoy your final evening in Egypt with a farewell dinner celebrating new friendships, unforgettable moments, and the journey of a lifetime.

After breakfast, we’ll check out from our resort in Hurghada and embark on a scenic journey back to Cairo—approximately a 6-hour drive. We’ll transfer you to Cairo International Airport for your departure.

If you’d prefer to fly from Hurghada to Cairo instead of driving, we’re happy to arrange a domestic flight for you at an additional cost.

Over the past 10 days, you’ve explored Egypt’s rich and diverse history, visited colorful villages, swam in the stunning shores of the Red Sea, sailed the Nile on a felucca, and uncovered the mysteries of ancient temples. These memories will last a lifetime. Until the next adventure!
