Your journey begins as you touch down in Lima, the vibrant capital city of Peru. Lima is known for its rich history, diverse culture, and delectable cuisine. Airport transfer to hotel and welcome dinner at a local restaurant is included.
Get ready for an action-packed day on Day 2 of your Peruvian adventure! We’ll depart Lima and head south along the picturesque coast to the charming fishing town of Pisco, where you can savor a mouthwatering seafood lunch while learning the secrets of preparing authentic Peruvian ceviche – a culinary delight not to be missed! After lunch, enjoy a 2-hour boat tour of the Ballestas Islands, teeming with wildlife like sea lions, penguins, and various bird species. Afterward, we will visit the pristine Paracas Natural Reserve to see La Catedral rock formation from a breathtaking scenic overlook. Strap in and hold on tight as we arrive in Huacachina, a natural oasis in the Ica Desert. With so much excitement packed into just Day 2, you’re sure to be having the time of your life – and this is only the beginning of your Peruvian escapade!
Morning at leisure to stroll around the oasis, take optional boat rides on the lagoon, enjoy the photography opportunities, and try the local cuisine. In the afternoon, unwind in the oasis with a refreshing drink by the pool and brace yourself for 2 hours of thrilling dune buggy rides and sandboarding down the towering sand dunes!
This morning, we embark on a journey to one of the world’s most enigmatic archaeological sites – the Nazca Lines. For a unique perspective of these ancient geoglyphs, you have the option to take a scenic flight and witness the lines from above. We’ll board an overnight bus from Nazca to Arequipa.
Arrive in Arequipa this morning and settle in before exploring. Known for its Spanish colonial charm and stunning white buildings, the city is a must-see. Spend your free time wandering the main plaza, visiting the cathedral, and enjoying local cafes and eateries. Today we’ll travel 5 hours by Minivan to Chivay, a village near Colca Canyon. Rest of the day at leisure to relax or take an optional dip in the thermal baths.
This morning, we’ll visit the breathtaking Colca Canyon, home to terraced crops and the majestic Andean condor. Later, enjoy a scenic bus ride to Puno, on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Explore the town, known for its vibrant indigenous cultures and lively festivals.
We’ll transfer to the main port in the morning and take a boat to Uros Island, crafted from totora reeds by local fishermen and hunters. Learn about the weaving process and opt for a traditional “balsa de totora” boat ride. Then, journey to Amantani Island, where a local family will host you for lunch using local ingredients. Explore the pre-Inca Pachatata temple and hike to the island’s peak for a stunning sunset over Lake Titicaca. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight with the local family on Amantani Island.
After breakfast, journey to Taquile Island renowned for its handicrafts and intricate textiles. Discover local customs, including special hats denoting marital status or authority. Explore ancient temples, tombs, and terraces, and learn about traditional farming techniques. Finally, return to Puno for an overnight stay.
Early morning departure to Cusco. We will enjoy exciting stops along the way, starting with a tour of the Paso la Raya and visit the Pucará Lithic Museum. We will explore the Raqchi Archaeological Complex and marvel the Andahuaylillas Sistine Chapel. We arrive in Cusco in the evening.
Cusco City Tour with a morning visit to the Plaza de Armas and its famous Cathedral, which contains more than 300 paintings from the Cusquena school of art. Next, we will explore Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun) and the Sacsayhuaman esplanade, known for its enormous megalithic stone walls. Our journey will continue to the nearby archaeological sites of Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay. In the afternoon, we will visit local markets and explore the artsy neighborhood of San Blas, known for its narrow streets and vibrant artistic community.
Today we will explore Sacred Valley, a splendid region in the Andes and home to major archaeological sites and picturesque villages. Our first stop will be Pisac, where we will visit ruins and a popular market. We will see how locals dye alpaca wool with natural plants of the region, visit the archaeological site and see its terraces, Incan cemeteries, and royal buildings. Next, we will move on to Moray and wonder at their mysterious circular terraces. We will continue to the nearby village of Maras, a center for salt production at the Maras Salt Mines and admire the unique quilt work of over 3,000 salt ponds spilling into the Sacred Valley. We will enjoy a buffet lunch at a local restaurant in Urubamba and continue to the town of Ollantaytambo. We will visit the ruins and board the train to Aguas Calientes. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.
Early morning departure to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. We will enjoy a guided tour and get insights into Inca architecture, astronomy, spirituality and gain a deeper understanding of the site’s history and significance. After the guided tour, we will have time to explore Machu Picchu and wander among the stone buildings, visit the Temple of the Sun, walk along the terraces, and take in the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and the Urubamba River below. After exploring Machu Picchu, we will head back to the town of Aguas Calientes and enjoy some free time for lunch. After lunch, we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo and transfer to Cusco. Overnight in Cusco.
Full-day trip to Rainbow Mountain (Mountain of Seven Colors), a natural wonder and one of Peru’s most captivating tourist attractions. We will depart Cusco at 4:00AM and drive to Cusipata, where we will have breakfast. Following breakfast, we will head to the hike starting point, at 4,850 meters. From there we will start the 3.5-kilometer trek over both flat and uphill terrain, leading to the majestic Mountain of Colors. The hike will take about 1.5 hours, depending on your level of fitness. Along the way, enjoy panoramic views of the valleys, wild llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas, as well as of the Andes and the nearby glaciers. At the top, take a well-deserved break and beautiful photos. We’ll travel back to Cusipata and enjoy a local lunch before returning to Cusco.
Use your last day in Cusco to buy some souvenirs, walk the ancient streets and drink a delicious Peruvian coffee while overlooking the beautiful streets of Cusco on a balcony.

We understand plans can change. A $200 deposit secures your spot, and you can cancel within 72 hours for a full refund. The remaining balance is due 60 days before the trip. If you cancel 60+ days before, you'll get a full refund minus a $100 cancellation fee. Cancellations made less than 60 days before the trip are non-refundable. When packing for Peru, think layers! Weather varies by region and altitude. In places like Cusco, it’s chilly in the morning and evening, but warmer midday—so pack lightweight clothes and a warm jacket. For hiking, bring moisture-wicking clothes and sturdy shoes. A rain jacket is a good idea if you're visiting between November and April. Don’t forget sunscreen, a hat, and insect repellent if your tour includes visiting the jungle
