ILHA GRANDE ESCAPE
For those not ready for the adventure to end, we offer an optional 3-day extension to Ilha Grande, a car-free tropical paradise where the jungle meets the emerald sea. After we wrap up in Paraty, we’ll head to this stunning island to experience some of the most beautiful and untouched beaches in all of Brazil.
This morning, we travel from Paraty to the port before taking a boat transfer across crystal-clear waters to Vila do Abraão, the main village on Ilha Grande. The journey itself is part of the experience, with breathtaking coastal scenery along the way.
After settling into our boutique accommodation, the afternoon is yours to sink into island time. Wander the sandy streets of the village, explore nearby hidden coves, or enjoy a fresh seafood lunch by the water.
In the evening, we’ll gather for drinks under the stars as we soak in the quiet, tropical energy of an island with no cars, no stress, and no rush.
Today is all about the "Blue Lagoon" and beyond. We’ll set off for a day of exploring the island’s most iconic spots. You have the choice to hike through the lush Atlantic rainforest or take a boat to Lopes Mendes, consistently ranked as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Spend the day swimming in crystal-clear water, lounging on flour-white sand, and enjoying the raw beauty of the island. It’s the ultimate day of relaxation and tropical wonder before we conclude our journey.
Enjoy one last tropical breakfast and a final dip in the ocean before we take our boat transfer back to the mainland. From there, we’ll provide a shared transfer directly to the airport in Rio de Janeiro for your journey home. You’ll leave the island with a camera full of photos and a heart full of memories from the ultimate Brazilian escape.
